Our mission

AnimeRecap publishes season-level recaps of anime worth talking about. Each recap covers the full story arc of a season — major plot beats with spoiler-tagged reveals, character development, editorial commentary, and a rating — so you can catch up before a new season drops, decide whether a show is worth your time, or revisit a favorite with fresh eyes.

We focus on seasons rather than episodes. Episode-by-episode coverage gets noisy; a season-level recap gives you the shape of the story without the padding. Our recaps are written to read well on their own, not to replace watching the show.

How we write recaps

First drafts are generated with an automated pipeline, then reviewed and edited by a real person before publication. We fact-check plot details against AniList and MyAnimeList, verify character and studio names, place spoiler tags, and tune prose for clarity and tone. No recap goes live without human review.

Coverage cadence

New recaps publish throughout the week as our pipeline works through each season's notable shows. Airing-season recaps are usually up within a few weeks of a season's final episode; older back-catalog shows are added on an ongoing basis. If a show you care about isn't covered yet, let us know via the Contact page — we take suggestions.
